On March 17th I will be speaking at the Farmerville Lions Club.  The invitation was extended for me to speak on my two books “Desert Burning” and “I Called Him Grand Dad”.  Both books had Farmerville, Louisiana as a back drop.  This is exciting for me to be speaking to this group of local leaders.  As a young man growing up in Farmerville the Lions Club was very instrumental in the development of the youth through it’s support of the Boy Scouts.  At one Linons Club luncheons one of the scouts read an article he had published in the national scouting magazine that told of our trip to Philmont Scout Ranch.  That individual is now a Federal Judge and represents the same region that Harvey G. Fields was the Federal Prosecutor for.  Fields is the subject of the book, “I Called Him Grand Dad.  The Lost Political Papers fo Harvey G. Fields”.
