The lost political papers of Harvey G. Fields that were discovered 45 years following his death are on display at the LSU Library in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.  These papers unlocked secrets about Louisiana politics from the 1920s through to the 1940s and identified a man that put honor and integrety above personal gains.  The papers led to the book, “I Called Him Grand Dad.  The Lost Political Papers of Harvey G. Fields”.  Names such as Roosevelt, Farley, Long, Sinclair, Darrow. Bryan, Tallmage and Patton are found throughout the papers and book.
